The Process and Method for Manually Screen Printing T-Shirts at Home
Pada artikel sebelumnya kita sudah membahas alat dan bahan apa saja yang selalu ada dalam proses sablon kaos manual. Juga kita telah belajar cara mendesain gambar menggunakan aplikasi Photoshop, CorelDraw, Freehand atau aplikasi lainnya yang anda ketahui. Dan sekarang lihat bagaimana proses penyablonannya.
In the previous article, we discussed the tools and materials required for manual t-shirt screen printing. We also learned how to design images using Photoshop, CorelDraw, Freehand, or any other application you're familiar with. Now, let's take a look at the screen printing process.
Siapkan alat sablon dibawah ini
-Screen sablon-Obat afdruk
-Hardener (pengeras screen)
-Hasil print gambar jenis kertas/film/repro (ingat warna harus hitam pekat)
-Meja sablon atau papan triplek dan diberi lem meja (papan banting, catok atau rotary)
-Rakel (untuk penyapuan)
-Minyak goreng
-Alat semprot air (semprotan burung)
-Chemical/Pasta/Cat dan Tinta/Pigmen Warna
-Meja afdruk (meja yang sudah diberikan lampu neon untuk memasak obat afdruk)
-Kartu perdana/atm bekas
-Kaos "Kalo pengen tau Jenis Kaos bisa "Jenis-Jenis Bahan Kaos"
Prepare screen printing the following equipment:
-Screen printing machine
-Printing agent
-Hardener
-Printed image on paper/film/repro (remember the color must be pitch black)
-Screen printing table or plywood with table glue (slamming board, clamp, or rotary tool)
-Squeegee (for sweeping)
-Cooking oil
-Water sprayer (bird spray)
-Chemicals/Paste/Paint and Ink/Color Pigments
-Printing table (table with a neon light for cooking the printing agent)
-Used SIM card/ATM card

- Campurkan obat afdruk yaitu emulsion dan sensitizernya diwadah mangkok kemudian di aduk (sesuaikan perbandingannya). Lalu oleskan tipis dibagian depan dan belakang screen menggunakan kartu perdana bekas, seperti gambar dibawah ini kemudian dikipas-kipas tunggu hingga agak mengering.
- Mix the emulsion and sensitizer in a bowl and stir (adjust the ratio accordingly). Then, apply a thin layer to the front and back of the screen using a used SIM card, as shown below. Fan the screen and wait until it dries slightly.

- Jika permukaan screen sudah terlihat mengering, oleskan permukaan depan screen dengan minyak goreng lalu letakkan kertas printnya, sapu dengan kartu perdana hingga kertas print melekat dengan screen. Kemudian letakkan seperti urutan gambar dibawah ini. Nyalakan lampu meja dan tunggu hingga 7-10 menit dalam ruangan gelap.
- Once the screen surface appears dry, coat the front of the screen with cooking oil. Then, place the printing paper on the screen. Wipe it with a SIM card until the printing paper adheres to the screen. Then, place the paper in the order shown in the image below. Turn on a desk lamp and wait 7-10 minutes in a dark room.

- Jika sudah sekitar 7-10 menit, angkat screen lalu siram-siramkan dahulu dengan air di seluruh screen agar minyak hilang. Kemudian semprotkan screen dengan penyemprot air (penyemprot burung) sehingga area screen yang mengandung gambar dapat berlubang.. Kemudian jemur dan tunggu hingga mengering, juka sudah mengering oleskan Hardener (pengeras screen) jemur di terik matahari.

- Sekarang buat cat pasta dengan mencampurkan cat dan tinta diwadah mangkok lalu aduk, sesuaikan takaran untuk mendapatkan hasil warna yang diinginkan. "jenis-jenis tinta sablon dan tekniknya"

- Masukan triplek kedalam kaos yang sudah dilumuri lem meja, penggunaakn triplek ini supaya diperoleh hasil yang rata pada saat penyapuan dan cat dapat tersaring dengan baik.
- Insert plywood inside the t-shirt, which has been coated with table glue. This plywood will ensure an even application and allow the paint to filter properly.

- Letakan screen diatas kaos kemudian tuangkan pasta diatas screen
- Place the screen on the shirt and then pour the paste over the screen.

- Tarik pasta menggunakan rakel sehingga pasta dapat turun melalui lubang-lubang kecil screen ke objek kaos, kemudian keringkan cat yang dikaos menggunakan hairdryer dan ulangi hingga 2-3 kali untuk mendapatkan hasil gambar yang kuat.
- Use a squeegee to apply the paste through the small holes in the screen onto the t-shirt. Then, dry the paint on the t-shirt using a hairdryer. Repeat 2-3 times for a strong image.

- Setelah penyapuan selesai keringkan dibawah sinar matahari terik (mesin kuring) atau bila mempunyai mesin press, gunakan mesin press untuk hasil lebih maksimal. Bila ingin mengkilap bisa tambahkan coating.
- After the sweeping is complete, dry it in direct sunlight (using a drying machine) or, if you have a printing press, use one for optimal results. For a glossy finish, you can add a coating.
