Ada banyak jenis helm seperti helm retro, cakil, predator, hallface, fullface dll. Dengan bentuk yang unik juga gambar-gambar yang menarik. Dalam membuat helm konsep(cara) yang dipakai semua tidak jauh berbeda, hanya saja bahan dasar helm itu sendiri yang membedakannya.

Ok, siapkan alat dan bahan

Okay, let's get your tools and materials ready.

1. Download Software Image Editing , gunakan software sesuai dengan keahlian, ada beberapa yang biasa dipakai untuk mengolah gambar seperti, CorelDraw, Photoshop, Freehand dll.

1. Download image editing software. Use software that suits your skills. Some commonly used image editing software include CorelDraw, Photoshop, Freehand, etc. 

2. Helm bekas atau baru.

3. Alat ukur meteran baju.

4. Objek, gambar kesukaan kita, yang ingin kita buat.

Untuk mengolah gambar lebih baik menggunakan Photoshop, sedangkan untuk gambar-gambar yang bersifat vektor menggunakan CorelDraw.

It's best to use Photoshop for image processing, while for vector images, CorelDraw is used. 

Langkah-langkah

Steps

1. Karena kita ingin mengolah gambar, buka photoshop > File > New , ganti preset dengan International Paper, Size A3, dan Resolution 200 px/inch, Color Mode RGB.

1. We want to process an image, open Photoshop > File > New, change the preset to International Paper, Size A3, and Resolution 200 px/inch, Color Mode RGB. 

2. Tekan Ctrl R, atau pilih menu View > Rulers, mengaktifkan penggaris pada layar (tanda merah dibawah).

3. Buka objek gambar File > Open

Pindahkan gambar ke file yang tadi kita buat dengan cara, Drag (klik kiri dan tahan) arahkan ke file pertama yaitu "untitled-1".

Move the image to the file we created earlier by dragging (left-click and hold) it to the first file, "untitled-1".

*Sekarang kita membuat gambar yang dilingkari tanda merah diatas.

Setelah di drag tadi, tekan tombol M (Rectangular Marquee Tool), lalu seleksi (gambar yang ingin kita ambil)

After dragging, press M (Rectangular Marquee Tool), then select the image we want to capture. 

Jika gambar sudah terseleksi tekan Ctrl-J maka akan muncul Layer 2 seperti gambar dibawah

Once the image is selected, press Ctrl-J, and Layer 2 will appear, as shown below. 

Ctrl-J ini berfungsi untuk membuat gambar yang terseleksi menjadi sebuah Layer baru.

Atur posisi gambar dengan menakan Ctrl T

Adjust the image position by pressing Ctrl + T

Ctrl T berfungsi untuk mengubah tinggi gambar, lebar gambar dan rotasi gambar

Ctrl + T changes the image height, width, and rotation

Jika sudah selesai mengatur posisi tekan Enter.

You're done adjusting the position, press Enter. 

Sekarang kita akan menghilangkan area gambar yang berwarna (hitam diluar gambar R)

Now we'll remove the colored areas of the image (the black areas outside the R image).

Layer 2

lalu pilih Threshold.

Atur gambar dengan menggeser kekiri dan kekanan, hingga gambar R terlihat sempurna.

Adjust the image by sliding it left and right until the R image looks perfect. 

Setelah gambar yang ingin anda ambil terlihat sempurna, kembali ke panel LAYERS

Once the image you want to capture looks perfect, return to the LAYERS panel. 

Pilih Layer 2, seperti gambar dibawah.

Select Layer 2, as shown below. 

Pilih Magic Wand Tool (tombol W) lalu seleksi area gambar yang ingin kita hapus (bagian luar gambar R).

Select the Magic Wand Tool (W key) and select the area of ​​the image you want to delete (the area outside the R image).

Setelah gambar terseleksi, hilangkan tanda mata pada Threshold 1 dan pilih Layer 2

Once the image is selected, uncheck Threshold 1 and select Layer 2.

Tekan Delete, maka gambar yang terseleksi tadi akan hilang, seperti gambar "hasil" dibawah

Press Delete to remove the selected image, as shown in the "result" image below. 

Rapihkan sisi gambar yang masih tersisa, dengan Eraser Tool (tombol E) atau menggunakan Magic Wand Tool seperti tadi.

Tidy up the remaining edges of the image with the Eraser Tool (E key) or the Magic Wand Tool as described above.

*Sekarang kita akan menyamakan ukuran helm yg sebenarnya dengan gambar yang ada di komputer.

*Now we'll match the actual helmet dimensions to the image on the computer

4. Ambil meteran baju, ukur panjang dan lebar gambar R pada helm .

4. Take a measuring tape and measure the length and width of the R image on the helmet. 

Dilihat dari gambar dibawah kurang lebih Tinggi 2inci dan Lebar 2inci.

As seen in the image below, it's approximately 2 inches high and 2 inches wide.

5. Kembali ke Photoshop, pilih Layer 2 tadi, lalu tekan Ctrl T, kemudian atur tinggi dan lebar sesuai dengan gambar yang anda ukur tadi. 2 x 2 Inchi.

5. Return to Photoshop, select Layer 2, then press Ctrl+T. Then, adjust the height and width according to the image you measured earlier: 2 x 2 inches.

Dan gambar siap untuk di printout(cetak) menggunakan kertas decal dengan jenis tinta injek Solvent Ink (minyak). Bila ingin menggunakan teknik cutting(potong) disarankan untuk menggunakan CorelDraw.
