There are three premium-grade clear coats, each with distinct characteristics. The following is a summary gathered from auto body and paint shops:

Kalau admin sih biasa pakai blingken gaess, soalnya masih pemula, hehee.

coating - tunggu kering - amplas - coating - tunggu kering - amplas - coating - tunggu kering - amplas - coating...

For the standard tier, there are brands like Blingken, Nippon, Nippe, belkote, penta, Ditton....

Personally, I usually go with Blingken—since I’m still a beginner, haha! I also typically add one capful of PU (hardener/activator) per 250ml of clear coat. While it does take longer to dry, it helps minimize dust issues during the spraying process—preventing airborne particles from settling onto the freshly coated surface.

If you’re aiming for a more high-end, premium finish, the process looks like this:

Apply clear coat — let it dry — sand it down — apply clear coat — let it dry — sand it down — apply clear coat — let it dry — sand it down — apply clear coat...

The more layers you apply, the more glass-like the finish becomes—to the point where you can see the world reflected in the surface.
