Membuat file raster untuk film yang akan dicetak/sablon ke media kaos, baju, sweater. Langsung saja disimak.

Apa sih Raster itu?

Kata Raster berasal dari bahasa Latin yaitu Restrum yang artinya menyapu, terdapat pada pemindaian dari sinar katoda (CRT) pada monitor, menampilkan gambar dengan baris garis yang magnetis terbentuk karena unsur elektron sehingga menghasilkan kotak-kotak kecil atau persegi panjang disebut juga dengan Pixel.

What is Raster? 

The word "raster" comes from the Latin word "restrum," meaning "to sweep." It is found in cathode ray tube (CRT) monitors, displaying images using rows of magnetic lines formed by electrons, creating small squares or rectangles, also known as pixels.

Disini kita akan berkolaborasi menggunakan program aplikasi CorelDraw dan Photoshop, 

ayo kita mulai:

Here, we will collaborate using CorelDraw and Photoshop,

here we go:

1. Membuat titik raster di CorelDraw

Buka CorelDraw dengan ukuran A4, kita akan mulai membuat garis dan text(angka), klik Freehand Tool(F5) ukuran 0.5 pt dan Text Tool(F8) ukuran font 2 pt. Kenapa sangat kecil, karena kita akan membuat kumpulan raster yang nantinya akan membentuk sebuah gambar. 

Perbanyak dengan mengcopy hingga menutupi ukuran paper A4 seperti gambar dibawah.

1. Creating raster points in CorelDraw 

Open CorelDraw at A4 size. We'll start creating lines and text (numbers). Click the Freehand Tool (F5) at 0.5 pt and the Text Tool (F8) at 2 pt. The font size is so small because we'll be creating a collection of raster points that will eventually form an image. 

Copy as many as you can until they cover the A4 paper size, as shown below.

Jika sudah dirapihkan, pilih File > Export 

Isi File Name "RasterA4" dan Save as type "PSD Adobe Photoshop" lalu Export

Maka akan muncul Convert to Bitmap

Once you've tidied up, select File > Export. 

Enter the File Name "RasterA4" and Save as "PSD 

Adobe Photoshop," then Export. 

The Convert to Bitmap dialog box will appear.

Atur Resolution "200" 

Color mode sesuaikan dengan spesifikasi komputer anda, disini pakai 8bit lalu OK

Jika muncul kotak Convert to Palleted klik saja OK

Set the Resolution to "200". 

Adjust the Color Mode to suit your computer's specifications. Here, use 8-bit, then OK. 

If the "Convert to Paletted" box appears, simply click "OK."

2. Mengaplikasikan titik raster di Photoshop

Buka Photoshop

File > Open

Buka file "RasterA4" PSD yang kamu buat di CorelDraw tadi.

File > Open

Buka gambar yang ingin dijadikan raster "Model1.jpg", lalu pilih Image > Image Size dan ganti Resolution (samakan dengan resolusi yang sudah dibuat dicorel tadi) yaitu 200.

Sekarang kita buat File > New dengan nama "UntukCetak" ukuran paper A4, dan isi resolution 200.

Tekan lalu drag "Model1.jpg" ke dalam "UntukCetak" atur dan sesuaikan.

Sebelum merubah gambar "UntukCetak" menjadi raster, pilih dahulu file "RasterA4" dan pilih Edit > Define Pattern > OK (agar file RasterA4 bisa digunakan sebagai raster).

Kembali ke "UntukCetak"

Pilih Image > Mode > Grayscale jika muncul kotak pilih saja Flatten lalu Discarde

Pilih lagi Image > Mode > Bitmap

2. Applying Raster Points in Photoshop 

Open Photoshop 

File > Open 

Open the "RasterA4" PSD file you created in CorelDraw earlier. 

File > Open 

Open the image you want to rasterize, "Model1.jpg," then select Image > Image Size and change the Resolution (the same resolution as the one you created in CorelDraw earlier), to 200. 

Now, create a File > New file named "UntukPetak" (For Printing), A4 paper size, and set the resolution to 200. 

Click and drag "Model1.jpg" into "UntukPetak" and adjust the settings. 

Before converting the "UntukPetak" image to a raster, first select the "RasterA4" file and select Edit > Define Pattern > OK (so that the RasterA4 file can be used as a raster). 

Return to "UntukPetak" (For Printing). Select Image > Mode > Grayscale. 

If a box appears, select Flatten, then Discard. Select Image > Mode > Bitmap again.

Editing raster

Resolution : 200

Use : Custom Pettern

Pilih Custom Pettern yang sudah dibuat tadi

OK

JIka di zoom maka akan terlihat titik raster berbentuk angka yang dibuat di coreldraw tadi.

Terlihat kumpulan garis dan angka 0 yang membentuk sebuah gambar.

Resolution: 200 

Use: Custom Pattern 

Select the custom pattern you created earlier. 

OK 

Zoom in, and you'll see the number-shaped raster dots created in CorelDraw. 

You'll see a collection of lines and zeros forming an image.
